Buy it. No maybes, just buy it.
This is $30 WELL spent. This book contains the
genealogy of the Perry family from the late 1400s
down to the time of Phillip Perry of Whitemarsh,
and includes information about our family. - ZP
I believe this would be an
excellent book for anyone researching the Perry's
that came to the Isle of Wright from London and
then into the Carolinas. This Perry line then
migrated to Texas, Georgia, Tennessee and
Kentucky. I believe that these are the ancestors
to our Wayne County WV Perry's.- Jack

Book Description
Two centuries ago, with the support of the young
Revolutionary government, George Robers Clark led
a small but fierce army west from Virigina to
conquer all the territory between the Ohio and
Mississippi Rivers. Here is the adventure, the
romance, the struggle, and the betrayal of his
life. Rich in the heroic characters, meticulously
researched detail and grand scale that have
become James Alexander Thom's trademarks, LONG
KNIFE, his first historical epic, is simply
unforgettable.

Regarding Philip Hupp and General George Robert
Clark. The book entitled "Long Knife"
is a historical novel regarding his campaign to
oust the English from the territory between the
Ohio and Mississippi Rivers. He collected his
soldiers from Virginia. The campaign took place
between 1778-1781. According to Tim Hupps Book,
Philip served with George Robert Clark during
this time period in Captain Robert George's
Company of Artillery. (Page J-6). Thom does not
refer to Philip Hupp, however it adds something
to the story to know an ancestor was there and
what they endured. - JD
